Aussie takes out top spot in Texas sausage eating competition
An Australian man has set a new world record, eating 51 sausages in 10 minutes at a Texas town festival.
Jason Webb downed the snags at the ManorPalooza event in Kansas over the weekend and he told Today he is already eyeing off his next prize.
"It's a cool feeling breaking a world record and the ManorPalooza contest is actually a big deal here in Texas, so it's kind of cool that an Aussie got to take home the trophy," he said.

James is an old pro when it comes to international eating competitions and just last year, managed to devour 276 chicken wings in 12 minutes at New York's Wing It On! US Chicken Wing Eating Championships, beating the previous record.
Just two days prior to that one, James knocked previous winner George Esper at the World Slopper Eating Championship in Colorado.
A slopper is a cheeseburger covered in a spicy sauce.
James is currently ranked number five in the world's top competitive eaters. Today

James is ranked number five in the world's top competitive eaters and is currently the only Aussie in the top 50.
"I really want to conquer hotdogs this year, so I'm now working towards that one," he said.
