Tiny earthquake shakes coastal Victorian towns
A small earthquake was detected in rural Victoria early this morning.
The earthquake had a 3.8 magnitude and occurred at 5.09am near the Apollo Bay and Colac Otway regions in the state's south-west.
Preliminary data suggests the quake did not cause any significant damage, however many people would have felt a light vibration near its epicentre.

According to Geoscience Australia, 12 people reported online they felt the earthquake.
Weak shaking may have been felt in the Otway and Apollo Bay regions, between 8-20kms away.
Other towns nearby including Lorne and Colac might also have felt the earthquake.
