Man finds tiger snake slithering across his desk

A man has received a shock after discovering a large tiger snake slithering along his home desk.

Sean Edwards said it was a "pretty crazy experience" after he walked into the room of his St Andrews Beach home and discovered the snake this week.

Video captured the ordeal, with the snake seen maneuvering on and around his printer and laptop.

The quick-thinking father dialed snake catchers who came to remove the venomous snake.

Mr Edwards told 9NEWS one of his main concerns after discovering the snake was that his young daughter was sleeping in a nearby bedroom.

"I had a tiger snake visit yesterday. Really healthy specimen," Mr Edwards wrote on Facebook.

"May have just fed or has had a pretty constant food source."

"Called in the snake catchers to safely remove and relocate."

He added it was lucky his pet dogs, Yindi and Didge, weren’t around at the time.
