Man charged with Melbourne motel murder remanded in custody

The family of a man charged with murder has clashed with reporters outside court in Melbourne today.

Albert Rapovski, 20, of Lalor, appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court today, charged with murdering Mohammed ‘Moey’ Hassan, who was found dead in a Kingsbury motel room on Saturday night.

He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head.

Mr Rapovski was remanded in custody to reappear in July.

Online tributes have poured in for Mr Hassan, with friends describing him as having a heart of gold and never having any enemies.

His brother appealed for people to "remember him in your prayers".
