Three teens arrested over Qld mower attack
Three people have been arrested after allegedly attacking a teenager while he was mowing a central Queensland lawn and leaving another man with a fractured eye socket.
Police say an 18-year-old was mowing grass on Yaamba Road in Parkhurst, Rockhampton, on Wednesday afternoon when he was assaulted by three men.
A 47-year-old who tried to help the teen was then set upon by the youths, police say.
He was taken to Rockhampton Base Hospital for multiple eye socket fractures, bruising to his face and a cut lip.
The teen who was mowing the lawn was not injured.
The three alleged attackers, two aged 17 and one 18, were each charged with grievous bodily harm and assault with intent to steal.
They'll appear in Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Friday.
