Three teenage girls arrested after out-of-control joyride ends at Laverton McDonald's

An out-of-control joyride has ended with the arrest of three teenage girls, after they allegedly drove a stolen car around Melbourne's west.

Video obtained by 9News shows police swarming Laverton McDonald's at Lunn Court, Altona Meadows about 4.30am, where the arrests were made.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said police rushed to the scene, following reports of a car "driving erractically" across Melbourne's west.

"The girls got out of the vehicle and attempted to run from police when they were arrested," they said.

Four teenage girls were found inside, with one escaping police after fleeing the car.

A 17-year-old from Flemington, an 18-year-old from Kings Park and a 15-year-old from Deer Park girl remain in custody assisting police with enquiries.
