Man and woman killed in van and semi-trailer crash on Warrego Highway at Ipswich

A man and woman have died after a van and a semi-trailer crashed on the Warrego Highway in the Ipswich suburb of Brassall this morning.

The crash happened before 8am, in the westbound lanes of the highway just past the Kholo exit. 

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said a man and a woman died at the scene and the truck driver was being treated at Ipswich Hospital.

The Toowoomba-bound lanes of the highway were closed, and motorists were told to expect delays. 

Police have also reminded motorists to take care in the wet conditions expected across the day.

Officers are conducting a forensic crash investigation at the scene.
