Three drive-by shootings in Wodonga believed to be 'targeted attacks'

A spate of drive-by shootings which unfolded in Wodonga on the Victoria-NSW border are believed to be targeted attacks, with police releasing new CCTV footage in a bid to assist with the investigation.

The three shootings all occurred within a seven-hour period.

The first attack took place at a home in Wornes Drive between 8.30-9.30pm on Saturday, where a shot was fired through the lounge room window.

The 49-year-old woman who lived inside the property was not home at the time and did not realise the shooting had occurred until yesterday afternoon.

In the second shooting, confirmed with CCTV footage, a shot was fired at a Gilbert Street home about 1.50am, however police believe the shot "went wide or the gun misfired".

In the last incident, two people were inside the bedroom of their Georgina Street home in Wodonga West when a shot was fired through the window at 4.50am.

The 30-year-old woman and 39-year-old man were not injured.

"Police believe all three shootings were targeted," a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

"Investigators have released CCTV footage from the Gilbert Street incident that shows a hatchback believed to be involved in the shootings."
