Pedestrian dies after being hit by a car in horror weekend on Victorian roads

An elderly man has died two days after a car crash claimed the life of his female passenger, while a pedestrian has been fatally hit in a separate hit on Victorian roads.

The 88-year-old driver passed away on Friday after suffering critical injuries when his car hit a tree in Lancefield two days earlier.

His female passenger, 87, died at the scene.

In a separate incident on Saturday, a male pedestrian, who is yet to be identified, died after being hit in Traralgon early Saturday morning.

The driver of the car is helping police with their inquiries.
