Three dead, including toddler, in tragic Central Queensland crash

Three people, including a two-year-old boy, have died in a car crash near Rockhampton in Central Queensland.

Police believe a white Holden Sedan had been travelling north on Marlborough Sarina Road at Clarke Creek around 10pm yesterday when the car left the road and crashed into a culvert near Grave Gully Bridge.

A 59-year-old Park Avenue woman and a two-year-old boy were pronounced dead at the scene.

An 18-year-old Rockhampton man was also transported from the scene in a critical condition but died before he reached the hospital.

Queensland Ambulance Service confirmed multiple paramedics tended to the people in the vehicle, treating two additional patients for injuries and transporting them to Rockhampton Hospital.

Among them, an 18-year-old woman in a serious condition who sustained head, facial and pelvic injuries, and a 20-year-old Park Avenue man who was treated for minor injuries.

Police are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the crash, or captured the vehicle on dash cam footage to assist with the investigation.
