Three-car crash causes delays on Bruce Highway near Caboolture

Traffic has slowed on the Bruce Highway near Caboolture, after three cars crashed in the southbound lanes.

A ute, a sedan and a 4WD collided before 6am, causing the 4WD to roll on its side.

A woman aged in her 40s and a man aged in his 70s have been taken to hospital in stable conditions.

Footage from the 9NEWS helicopter shows debris strewn over the highway, with traffic slowly passing in one lane.

Police have urged drivers to avoid the area if possible.
