Thousands sign new health care forms

More than 10,000 South Australians have completed an Advance Care Directive covering their future living and financial arrangements, health care and end-of-life wishes.

The new forms came into effect 12 months ago and replace the more complicated enduring guardianship and power of attorney arrangements.

SA Health chief executive David Swan says it's encouraging to see so many people making sure their future requests, values and preferences are protected.
