Things we learnt about Malcolm

THINGS WE LEARNT TODAY ABOUT THE PM

* Likes wearing shorts and a T-shirt. That's what he wears kayaking and apparently when he's having the most fun.

* Once a labourer for a banana merchant in Sydney. He got to work out his upper body lifting banana cases. He reckons that was good.

* Very sentimental about Australian pop-rock band Mental as Anything.

* Can't quite remember his first concert - he is 61 - but saw the Beatles in Australia and the Rolling Stones in Chicago. He can remember the Stones played on a really sunny day.

* Likes the British series based on the John le Carre spy novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy and the 1942 classic Casablanca.

* Loves social media. His favourite app, tracking public transport, is in Sydney. He hates getting stuck in traffic and likes meeting people.
