Thieves steal tobacco from ‘Candyman’ Travers Beynon’s Gold Coast warehouse

Police are searching for thieves who stole a “significant amount” of tobacco products from the Gold Coast warehouse of celebrity businessman, ‘Candyman’ Travers Beynon.

Authorities believe multiple offenders used a ladder to enter the warehouse on Kohl Street at Coomera. Investigations suggest they entered through the warehouse roof and then disabled an alarm system.

The thieves then allegedly forced open a number of shipping containers and stole a “significant amount of tobacco products,” police said in a statement.

Mr Beynon is a well-known tobacco businessman, who last year achieved celebrity status on social media for throwing lavish parties reportedly costing in excess of $500,000.

Investigations into the alleged robbery are ongoing.
