Thieves smash car through doors of Doncaster East shopping centre, before robbing shop and destroying ATM

Thieves have deliberately smashed a car into the glass doors of a shopping centre in Melbourne this morning.

At 5.30am this morning a 4WD ploughed into the Doncaster East shopping centre on Reynolds Road.

The thieves first targeted a jewellery store, stealing a number of items, beofre driving through the complex in search of an ATM.

The robbers then rammed an ATM but were unable to remove any cash.

They then reversed their way out of the shopping centre and drove off.

Video from inside the shopping centre showed extensive damage inside the shopping centre.
