Final day of Theo Hayez coronial inquest
Today is the final day of the coronial inquest into the disappearance of Belgian backpacker Theo Hayez, who vanished from Byron Bay more than two years ago.
The 18-year-old was last seen leaving the Cheeky Monkey's bar in the northern NSW holiday town on May 11, 2019.
The Hayez family travelled from Belgium for the two-week hearing into the circumstances of his disappearance.

They are expected to make a statement to the coroner later today.
On the first day of the inquest, a video was played of Mr Hayez's last known movements.
He was seen holding a beer at Cheeky Monkey's and dancing before he was asked to leave the venue.
Counsel Assisting Kristen Edwards told the court the friends he was with at the bar did not believe he was significantly affected by alcohol and were shocked when they learned he had been ejected.
