The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus has been yanked off a Sky News set by a TV technician over fears he was going to make an accidental appearance in a weather forecast.

Reedus, along with the show’s special effects expert Greg Nicotero, appeared on the station’s Sunrise program on Friday to discuss the popular TV show.

Sky News has since posted an uncut version of the segment to their official YouTube page, revealing what ensued after the broadcast.

In the video, show host Sarah-Jane Mee thanks Reedus and Nicotero before announcing a “short break”.

A technician wearing a headset suddenly materialises behind them, racing across the set to seize the back of Reedus’ chair, hurriedly wheeling him off to one side.

The video switches to another camera angle of the set’s adjacent wall, showing a weather map just as the weather presenter steps into view, revealing that Reedus would have been visible during the live forecast.

Reedus responds to his unceremonious removal with a good-natured salute to the weatherwoman, who laughs and waves back.

The Walking Dead, a critically acclaimed American horror drama series produced by AMC, is currently in its seventh season.
