One of Australia's hottest bands The Preatures have been named as the "most added" on radio in the US by the industry bible CMJ.

The Sydney band's track Somebody's Talkin' has been named on the US site's weekly radio rundown as the most added in the country.

The band have just returned from an extensive tour of the US which has no doubt helped to raise their profile over there.

Their debut album, Blue Planet Eyes, shot in to the ARIA album charts at No.4 this year.

They told AAP recently that they were already working on their second album and were hoping it would be even bigger and better than the last, which they wrote in just seven weeks.

"You don't really get to kick out in seven weeks," frontwoman Isabella Manfredi said.

"This year's been a tough year and we had seven weeks to do the record, and there was a bit of word that maybe they wanted to push it back or release it next year, so it was actually just great that we go it out and now we're working on the second one," she said.

The Preatures, who recently supported the Rolling Stones in the Hunter valley, will continue their tour of Australia right through until December 31.
