Ashes fans refuse to leave Adelaide Oval

Ashes fans and police have clashed at the end of the first night of the Adelaide test, with officers forced to escort people from the venue.

9NEWS footage from after stumps shows a big crowd of people congregating on the grassed area.

The crowd refused to leave, with security guards and police moving in to disperse the crowd.

A number of people were handcuffed as they were escorted from the ground, but no arrests were made.
