Controversial tennis star Bernard Tomic has reportedly spent $50,000 on an extravagant night out at a Melbourne hotspot.

Tomic revealed to the Herald Sun he had purchased the extravagant “Green Room” party package at Bond Nightclub on Saturday night, just days after being defeated in the first round of the US Open.

“It is having fun and celebrating and maybe I just do it in different ways to other people,” Tomic told the newspaper.

He admitted that while the splurge might seem “ridiculous” to some people, it was “peanuts” to him given his estimated wealth of $14 million.

The package reportedly included a helicopter tour of the city, a pre-clubbing dinner at Shane Delia’s Maha restaurant, a 15-litre bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne and 50 caviar spoon shots.

Big-spenders are also treated to three VIP waiters, a private masseuse and a private photographer to snap all the action.

It isn’t the first time that Tomic has indulged in luxury.

Late last year he posted images of his Lamborghini, jet-skis and seaside Miami apartment to a now-deleted Instagram page.
