US Election: Tempers flare at Sydney University election party

Tempers have flared at a gathering of Sydney University students watching the US election at the Manning Bar last night.

Shortly after it was declared Donald Trump had defeated Hillary Clinton in the race to the White House, a woman unleashed on a supporter of the president-elect. 

Footage at the election party shows the woman, who is believed to be a Clinton supporter, walking up to the man and throwing a drink on him.

She also rattled off a number of expletives before she was taken out of the venue by security.

A group of stunned onlookers watched on as the ordeal unravelled.
