Teenager killed outside Launceston in first holiday road death for Tasmania

Tasmania has recorded its first road death during the holiday period after a single-car accident in outer Launceston.

Emergency services were called to Blackstone Heights at about 12.30am on Thursday where a 19-year-old woman, the car's driver and only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Police are continuing their investigations into the cause of the accident.
