Rescue helicopter deployed after teenager falls up to 10 metres at NSW quarry swimming hole

A teenager has suffered lower limb injuries after falling up to 10 metres at a quarry at Salamander Bay on the NSW Central Coast.

Paramedics treated the 17-year-old girl who had fallen at the local swimming hole at the scene.

9NEWS understands the girl was attempting to jump off rocks into a body of water and misjudged the distance.

The Westpac Life Saver Rescue chopper airlifted her in a stable condition to John Hunter Hospital, near Newcastle.
