Police have arrested a man who allegedly assaulted a six-year-old girl in her own home at Loganlea.

Police allege Jackson Dodi-Musson, 19, forced his way into a Pinelands Drive home around 5am on Monday.

He is accused of entering the upstairs bedroom of a six-year-old girl, removing her from the bed and carrying the child downstairs.

When the child screamed the man assaulted the child by allegedly striking her in the face before fleeing the residence.

Mr Dodi-Musson is also alleged to have entered Greg Peat's Spruce Street home around 11pm on Tuesday by cutting the flyscreen to a rear bedroom window and climbing in.

“As soon as he saw me he leaped through the window and was gone,” Mr Peat told 9NEWS.

He is alleged to have then used a stolen credit card at two service stations to buy a number of items, which allegedly led police to Mr Dodi-Musson.
