Bashed Melbourne bus driver still fears ice addict attacker

It was the infamous ice attack that lifted the lid on Victoria's methamphetamine problem.

A Melbourne bus driver says his life was ruined after the 2013 grand final day assault. He had asked Jake Hall, 19, to butt the cigarette he bought onto the bus, but the young dad flew into an ice-fuelled rage.

In a shock decision, Hall was freed last month. He had served just 99 days of a 20 month sentence.

His victim is outraged and fears for his life.

Today more footage has emerged of another violent attack, this time on a Geelong driver.

The drunk passenger was angry he wasn’t allowed on without a myki ticket.

The attack came as the industry trials protective screens to cut off human contact.

It’s a direct result of the behaviour of people like Hall: the blind rage of an ice addict which ruined one man's life.

That was almost a year ago, but since that day his victim has never heard from him. There has never been an apology.
