Teenage girl indecently assaulted while going through ticket barrier at Sydney train station

Police are searching for a man who indecently assaulted a 15-year-old girl going through a ticket barrier at a Sydney train station.

The teenager was going through the barrier at Campsie Station, in Sydney's south-west, about 8.35am yesterday when a man approached her from behind and the attack took place.

She reported the matter to the station staff who contacted police.

Police this morning issued an appeal to find a man who they believe can assist with their inquiries.

He was described to police as being of Indian/Sub-Continental appearance, aged between 35-55 years and of skinny build,

When he was last seen he was wearing a Seattle Seahawks short sleeved shirt and long blue pants with a reflective stripe on the knees. He was also carrying a blue bag.
