A 16-year-old boy has been charged with armed robbery after a Korean tourist was alleged robbed at knifepoint in Bundaberg’s north.

Police allege the 26-year-old woman was walking along Station Street when she noticed two male teenagers following closely behind about 11.15pm yesterday.

One of the youths then allegedly rode in front of the woman on a scooter, produced a knife and grabbed her wrist. He then demanded she hand over her phone, police said.

The tourist refused, before the boy allegedly grabbed the phone from her hand.

She was not injured during the incident.
