Tax cuts not about by-election: Hockey

Treasurer Joe Hockey says there is no link between him flagging income tax cuts and the upcoming Canning by-election.
The Liberal Party is seeking to hold the West Australian seat at the by-election on September 19.
"There's no correlation because I've been talking about taxation reform for months now ... we are engaging in a discussion and it doesn't stop for any one event," Mr Hockey told Sky News on Monday.
