Tattoo parlour shooting accused face court

 Police have arrested three men after a Melbourne tattoo parlour was peppered with bullets last month.

Five bullets were fired into the City of Ink shopfront in South Melbourne, piercing its signage and door frame, just before 2am on July 14.

No one was injured in the incident.

The parlour is owned by former Richmond player Jake King, and has links to former bikie enforcer Toby Mitchell.

As part of investigations, detectives from the Echo Taskforce stormed homes in the suburbs of Dallas and Meadow Heights about 5am today.

A 25-year-old Dallas man, a 26-year-old Meadow Heights man and a 23-year-old Dallas man were all arrested and interviewed by police.

The older men have each been charged with a string of offences, including discharging a firearm at premises and reckless conduct endangering life and serious injury.

One of the accused faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this afternoon. Hemade no application for bail and will appear in court again tomorrow.

Another of the accused will front court later tonight.

The third man has been released pending further inquiries.
