Watch might be key to body identification

An inscribed watch could hold the key to identifying human remains almost two weeks after they were discovered in north Tasmanian bushland as police have been unable to identify the person.

Forensic teams and a coroner attended a site beside the East Tamar Highway near Dilston on September 22 when the skeletal remains were excavated.

Located with the remains was a watch inscribed 'To Dad love Maureen and Tony 1965' and detectives want to hear from anyone who might have information.
