Fire warning downgraded for Tas bushfire

A bushfire burning out of control in northwest Tasmania has been downgraded.

Firefighters say the Mawbanna blaze is uncontrolled but there is no threat to homes after previously warning the area was at high risk on Saturday afternoon.

Residents are warned to stay informed as the blaze could flare up again.

"Fire under these conditions can be difficult to control," the Tasmanian Fire Service said.
