Tasmanian constable on ammunition charge

A Tasmanian policeman is to be charged by summons with failing to store ammunition safely at his home.
The 34-year-old constable from the state's south will be charged with being in possession of ammunition and failing to take all reasonable precautions to ensure it was kept safely.
He remains on operational duty and will appear in court at a later date.
