- Among the biggest concerns are large fires that could threaten houses, bushwalkers and anglers near Cradle Mountain in the north, Lake McKenzie, Patons Road and February Plains.
- Windy, hot weather and dry conditions and air and low humidity is making it more difficult to fight fires.
- Tasmania's west coast, where the majority of bushfires are, is marked by steep and rocky terrain and difficult to access.
