Tasmania will send a small contingent of emergency service workers to help clean-up efforts after Queensland's Cyclone Debbie.

Three Tasmania Fire Service personnel and members from the SES and Parks and Wildlife service will work in logistics, planning and operations support, state minister Rene Hidding said on Thursday.

"Tasmanians know full well the devastating impact these extreme weather events can have and we are more than willing to assist our interstate colleagues in their recovery from this very serious weather event," he said, adding that more resources will be sent if needed.
