Tas thieves make off with $10k in smokes

Crooks have made off with $10,000 worth of cigarettes during a heist in northern Tasmania.

"Three offenders smashed a window at the front of the business to enter and were captured on CCTV footage from within the store," acting police inspector Robert Baker said on Tuesday of the crime at Bridport IGA in the early hours of Monday.

Investigators are looking for a white 1990s Toyota HiLux dual cab seen in the area at the time.
