Tasmania's parliament house will fly the French flag on Monday, along with its regular banners, at half mast, as a sign of respect for those who lost their lives in the Paris terror attacks.

Hobart woman Emma Parkinson, 19, was one of hundreds of people injured in the attacks which have left 129 people dead.

She suffered multiple gun shots to the hip and is recovering in hospital after surgery.

"The events in Paris have sent shockwaves around the world and they're being felt here in Tasmania," Premier Will Hodgman said.

"We are now wondering how it can be that one of our own has been impacted by these appalling crimes."
