Tas SES help with NSW storm clean up

Tasmania will send 21 SES volunteers to NSW to help with the state's storm clean up, after a formal request for assistance.

The crew will fly to Sydney on Wednesday where they'll be assigned a region and spend five days working in response to flood damage caused over the past week by heavy rain, hail and strong winds.

With severe weather expected to continue for parts of NSW later in the week, the state's SES Commissioner Adam Dent asked his Tassie counterparts for help.
