Tas man charged after targeted raid

A suspected armed burglar has been charged with a raft of offences after specialist police swooped on a Tasmanian property.

The 29-year-old man is due to face Devonport Magistrates Court on Sunday night over a swag of offences including firearms, aggravated burglaries, burglaries, theft of motor vehicles and dangerous driving.

Police allegedly found him in possession of a gun before they arrested him during the planned raid on a property at Railton on Saturday night.
