Tas man arrested over sex assault

Tasmanian police will extradite a man from Victoria where he has been arrested over the sexual assault of an elderly woman.

The 18-year-old man from West Launceston is alleged to have entered the woman's home, in the same suburb, overnight on July 29.

Detectives will bring the man back to Tasmania on Wednesday and he is expected to face court in Launceston on Thursday.
