Tas close to ambulance pay deal

After months of negotiation the Tasmanian government appears likely to have reached a pay deal with the state's ambulance service.

On Wednesday the government offered a two per cent per year pay increase backdated to December 2014 and stretching through until 2018.

The Health and Community Services Union responded positively with secretary Tim Jacobson taking the "good outcome" to workers.
