Strong winds fuelling Hobart bushfire

A bushfire burning near suburban Hobart is proving tough to manage in strong winds, authorities say.

The blaze broke out in the Waverley Flora Park at the back of Mornington on Friday but is not posing a threat to private property.

"Firefighting efforts are being hampered by strong winds and firefighters are being assisted by a water-bombing helicopter," the Tasmania Fire Service said.
