Sheep killed, farmer targeted: police

Up to 70 sheep have been shot dead in recent months in northwest Tasmania in what police say is a targeted crime against a farmer.

Fourteen of the animals have been killed in the past week, with all the shootings occurring at a Myalla property belonging to the same farmer, Senior Constable Cameron Little said on Wednesday.

"This appears to be a callous and targeted crime," he added, as he made a call for public information about the shootings.
