Search for missing Tas fisher suspended

A fisherman who was washed off rocks on the northern tip of Flinders Island is still missing.

The 43-year-old man was standing on the rocky shoreline when he was swept into the ocean about 9am on Saturday, police say.

At least three planes joined local fishermen and emergency services in the search for the missing man, which is expected to resume at first light on Sunday.
