Problems which led to greyhound racing being shut down in NSW do not exist or are irrelevant in Tasmania, the boss of Tasracing says.

Analysis of the the Special Commission of Inquiry into the Greyhound Racing Industry in NSW found 84 per cent of its 79 recommendations have already been enacted in Tasmania and of the remainder some are state-specific and others are not deemed appropriate for the apple isle.

"Anyone doing the wrong thing is quickly discovered and removed from the industry," Tasracing chief Mark Tarring said on Wednesday, adding that the industry in Tasmania is well regulated and policed.
