No word from PM on UTAS campus millions

Tasmania will have to wait a bit longer to learn if the federal government intends to cough up money for a new university campus in Launceston.
Federal Labor has already committed to spending the $150 million, needed as a co-contribution to establish a new University of Tasmania campus in the northern city as part of a plan which has state Liberal government backing and is forecast to boost jobs and education outcomes for the island.
"We will have more to say about it closer to the election," Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull told reporters during a visit to Launceston on Friday when asked repeatedly if the coalition will make the pledge.
