A man charged with the suspected bashing murder of an acquaintance in a remote part of central Tasmania will remain in custody after a second bedside court sitting at a Hobart hospital.

John Nowoczynski, 46, from the suburb of Taroona has been charged with murdering a 39-year-old Richmond man - not yet named by police - in a fight on Saturday night at Interlaken during which the accused was injured, requiring hospital treatment.

He will remain in custody until his next court appearance on June 29, police said on Tuesday.
