Motorcyclist dies in Tas crash

A teenager has died after he crashed his motorbike into a culvert in Tasmania's southeast.

The Bothwell man, 18, suffered massive head and facial injuries in the crash at Apsley about 12.40pm on Sunday, police said.

It's believed his motorcycle failed to take a slight bend, clipped the gravel shoulder and crashed into the culvert.

He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
