Missing Hobart man believed dead: police

The suspected murder of a Hobart man has sparked a call for public information with the 47-year-old's body yet to be found.

Dwayne Davies from suburban Risdon Vale was reported missing on Friday and five days later detectives have a man, 40, and a 44-year-old woman in custody for questioning.

"We are examining two residences to uncover any evidence linked to the suspected murder of Mr Davies," Detective Inspector Steve Burk said in a statement, adding that police are particularly interested in hearing information about a silver 2009 Hyundai Tuscon and a white 2004 Nissan Navara across Hobart's northern suburbs on Friday and Saturday.
