Man shot in back in Tas

A man involved in a feud has been shot in the back in Tasmania.

The Mayfield man, 40, was assaulted by a group of people in Mayfield on Saturday morning before he was shot at close range with a small calibre rifle, police said on Sunday.

The victim, who is expected to make a full recovery, has declined to co-operate with investigators, and police believe the parties are known to each other and it involved in a feud.
