Man killed in crash on Bruny Island in Tas

A Taiwanese man has died after apparently losing control of his car on Tasmania's Bruny Island and crashing into a tree.

The 27-year-old man and a woman, who is also Taiwanese, were trapped in their Ford Falcon after the accident on a gravel road at about 4pm on Monday.

The couple were extricated and airlifted to Royal Hobart Hospital but the man died soon after arriving from what police say were severe injuries.
